Supplements
Nutritional supplements can help to correct deficiencies and bridge the gap to support nutrition therapy.
Supplementation can be done in form of vitamins, minerals, or therapeutic herbs. The key is using high-quality professional-grade supplements to improve your wellness.
Not all supplements are equal.
A High-quality, professional-grade supplement is one where the products have undergone multiple layers of quality checks, for safety, efficacy, potency, and more.
Choosing a high-quality nutritional supplement provides you with the best possible health outcomes for your health.

FAQs

This is a great question!
Many of my clients have said that I listen to them, and show true compassion when they share their desires and struggles, they feel seen, heard, and not judged. It always amazes me when I hear these things from my clients, and it also saddens me as it speaks to how most of us experience the medical and healthcare industry. I want my clients to know that I have their best interests in mind. Creating a safe space where we work as a partnership that is focused on overcoming those challenges that are related to food and lifestyle.
I explain to my clients that working with me is like going on a road trip together. It isn’t my car we are driving, it is theirs. And I am not the driver of their car, they are. I just help them figure out the road map to get to where they want to go and then help them get there. Even if we make a few detours along the way, I am still there to help them get to their desired destination. This journey is for you!

With both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Nutrition Science, as well as the advanced board certification of Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS), I have the foundations of knowledge on how to approach food and lifestyle to help you with your health challenges. As I continue to build upon my educational foundation through continuing education and working towards the CNS board certification, my knowledge will be utilized to dig deeper into the root causes of chronic diseases and the health disparities, that occur from diet and lifestyle. My commitment to be of service and do no harm will be reflected in my working with you as a whole person, through; explorative conversations, developing food and lifestyle goals, continual support in navigating challenges that may arise, and meeting you where you are each step of the way. I will utilize all of the mind, body, and connection resources I have to support you as a unique individual.

In many states, anyone can call themselves a “Nutritionist”, without having a degree or any formal education from an accredited institution. As I mentioned, I have a BScN and MScN, which provide me with a foundation of knowledge in nutrition and human health. I engage in critical thinking and will always question the “evidence” to make sure it is relevant to your situation. I am committed to continuing my education in nutrition, human health, human behavior, food relationship coaching, and any other area in which I can better serve my clients. Do these make me different? Yes, in some ways. But what really makes me different is how I use my education, experience, and resources. And how I combine this with empathy, compassion, and some intuition thrown in to provide you with the best care I can to help you with your needs and get you out of the patterns that have held you in a place of struggle for far too long.

Taking into consideration; every-body is different, everyone is in a different stage of readiness to make changes, and how often we meet to help you with your wellness needs, it may take a few sessions before you start to see and feel better. With consistent work together, we can navigate each step towards your wellness.

Evidence-based nutrition utilizes scientific research, from journals, and books, to articles to support recommendations for foods and diets. These are great starting points when seeking possible answers to challenging health questions. However, as many have discovered, there is bias in research that can negatively impact the conclusions provided in the research. In addition, research models engage in a reductionist approach, which from my perspective, means the results are limited to a small number of people (even if the research has a large group of test subjects). Although I do dig through research to look for possible answers, I also read research articles and journals with a critical lens. I look for the biases and I ask the question ‘does this fit my client’?

Currently, I am accepting clients with First Choice Health Insurance.
I will be adding a service for Insurance in the near future.as a courtesy, I can also provide you with a receipt and a "superbill" with correct nutrition codes if requested. This superbill may be submitted by you to your insurance carrier for potential reimbursement. This would be considered "out of network" for reimbursement purposes IF your plan accepts superbills.
Coverage via superbill cannot be guaranteed. To avoid surprises, you are encouraged to contact your insurance company in advance to fully understand your coverage and reimbursements.
You may not be able submit a superbill to medicare or medicaid.
We can discuss during your initial consult call more about this service. There is no cost for this service.

As someone who knows what it is like to not have insurance and not have the financial budget to pay for healthcare, I am open to discussing options that can help those in financial need.

All of my services are through telehealth. It is my way of reducing traffic, commuting stress, and creating a more relaxed environment. I also find telehealth sessions are easier to fit into busy schedules. Our sessions will be private and HIPPA compliant.
